There was a keen demand to-day for forward store sheep and breeding ewes, and a. smuV.l yardlug of fat ca tie resulted m a I'i^e m prices. 8 org $heep— Qnly a few entered and there \yas a ready sale for breeding ewss and forward wethers and hoggstsr at advanced rates, Urossbred ewes m lamb brought 2Qs to 19s 3d. wethers 19s 3 J to 16s 3d, hoggets 14s 8d to 13s 4d,. .Fat lxambs— =The yarding was smaller than of late and tbo bulk of them were unfinished. There w_B little competition, but prime sorts sold at about the previous week's rates, and unfinished wee easier. Togs 19* Gd to 20s 7d, standard weights 18s to 19s 6 J others 14s lOd to 16s OJ. .
Fat Sheep— A fairly heavy entry, made up principally, of, prime wethers.; ewes was not .large j medium and inferior ewes
were rather lowrr m value, a few- lots being taken for freezing. Wethers were very, firm and prim-i showed an advance. Prime wethsrs 23s to 2Cs— ex rato 3ls 6d, light 20s to ;22s 6d, ewss, heavy, 20s to 22s 7d, medium and good 17s to 19s 6d, others 14s tolCs6d. Fat Cattle— ll7 head yarded, mostly useful steer*. The market showed an advance. I of 10s to 23_ par head over the prey ous week's prices.
