'I he return social evening t-.n-. dercd by the Y.M.BC. to t.V V YV.B.C took place m the O:aut-ii Town Hall on '1 hursday evening, the 22nd inst, when nine members of hoth classes, and th- sister socictv at Wairio, gathered for ai evening'? rocrealion a«id enjoyment. A nnni--b^rofthe Youiv^- Men's Class lnd prepared the hall for games, and p\ ninji-pong, quoits draught.-, etc, cie, were enthusiastically m lulled m. The catering whs entrusted to Mr Culling, and an abundant supply _ 01.o 1 . refreshments was provided. D ning the evening songs were rendered by Miss W. Dodds, of Wairio, and Mr - M Coulter, ol Otautau, and a recitation by Miss Mclntosh (Wairio). Before dispersing, Miss Gould moved a hearty vote of thanks to the V.M.B.C. for providing such a pleasant evening's enjoyment, and this was carried by acclamation.
