Another quiet week has to be reported m the Southland grain markeet Growers of oats and wheat are still inclined to hold, not being satisfied with the present prices offered. Openings are gradually falling off and there are indications of a heavy spring threshing this year. The railway authorities report that their grain carriage returns show a. marked decrease this season, when compared with last year's, which, again, was 200,060 sacks below 1903 figures. Fowl ! wheat continues scarce and promises this winter to be good value to holders. Other lines are very quiet.
