At a meeting of the old Rover and Apaiima Football Clubs, held last week, it was decided that the two clubs should amalgamate, and a Strong- combination will represent Otautau during the season. The new club will be known as the Otautau Football Olub. Mr M. Lynch has been elected captain, Mr W. Corkhill deputy, and Mr M. Coulter secretary. These three, together with Mr R. J. Jaquiery, will comprise the ma eh committee. The combination is largely due to the efforts of Mr T.J. Walker, who has been a prominent footballer m the district for many years.
