The Invetcargill Stock Agents report having held their fortnightly sale at Wallacetown yards'jt'his '4'nyVACattle were well repre tented, and for' good beef the-e was fair competition^ but for store's and inferior sorts there was no*; much' enquiry, and several lots .were turned out unsold. There was a good yarding of "sheep; and'pricas were fair. Fat'.'Cattle-^l^ yarded. Best bullocks to £9 10s, mediutti £0 to £7 10s, light speyed cows and heifers £5 5s to £6. Store Cattle— 3s4 yarded. Prices ranged from £2 10s M 15s, cows £2 7s 6d to £5 ss, calves, good, to £_ 8s 6d, others to 17f.
Fat Sheep— l4oQ penned. Ewes, 12s lo 18s 3d, lambs 15s 3d to 17s ld, wethers /20s to 23s 6d- A A A 1 A; ;.
'Sto'fe.Sheep— 6oo penned. Lambs 12s 4d ;c< 14s lid, !pld ewes 7s 4d to 15s 9d.
