A large mohair factory has been destroyed by fire at Bradford, England. The estimated damage is £200,000, The influenza epidemic is rapidly spreading throughout Europe. Owing to the masters refusing to accede to their demands, ten thousand bootmakers have gone out on strike. Slavin and Smith fought for the Championship on Deoember 23rd. After fighting twenty-two minutes, the roughs attacksd Slavin, and handled him very roughly.
The Queen is arranging for the publication of further extracts from her diary, including original verses.
