Football. — A match was playea m Dr. Weld's paddock on Saturday afternoon last between the Oxford team ana fifteen " Moonlighter," which, after a rather one-siaed game, resulted m a win for the former by 16 points to 3. Oust Lawn Tennis Olub.— The Lawn Tennis Committee are arranging at once for a grasH court on part of the cricket ground and while this is been used for play they will proceed with the formation of a cinder court. The latter is somewhat expensive, and it is probable that the grass court will be found sufficient at first, as many of the players are novices, and consequently do not Play a very fast game. No doubt however, by the time the cinder court is finished, the members of the Club will be, able to give a good account of themselves on it, for they will have had that "practice" which "makes perfect." Another Proof op Oxford's Proltficness.— Mr Cockburn, blacksmith, West Oxford, has just received a surprise m the shape of a brood of fourteen Houdan chickens from thirteen eggs.
