A fire occurrred at New York on September 17, doing damage to the amount of £200,000. Dr Somerville, the , well-known evangelist, died recently in' London. A Bill has been passed by the Victorian Assembly prohibiting the publication of Sunday newspapers. A 3| per cent £2,500,000 New Zealane Conversion Loan is expected on the Zondon market next month.
