■. - The Wellington Stock Exchange has received the following telegram from the Knranui Gold Mining Company:—"Have struck quartz four inches wide, carrying good gold." Information has been received -by cable message from London by the Adelaide secretary of tho British Broken Hill Company (N.S.W.) that a net profit of £7232 was made during the half-year ended December 31,1 making the total credit at profit and loss account £22,211; A net loss of £181 was shown for the previous term, and the balance then remaining' to credit of profit and loss account was £14,979. For the first time since tho beginning of the war the shareholders aro to receive a dividend— namely, Is per share, payable on July 2, and amounting to £18,750.
