" Mother of Two Sons Somewhere in France."—lt has happened on several occasions that, military bands have not been provided at a time when their services are desired. The question is wholly one of the band members securing release from their employment, and at times tho tax on the employing firms becomes so very heavy that the bands simply cannot be got together. It' must bo borne in mind tliat businesses have been severely depleted of men, and that manv of them have great difficulty in, carrying on. A second band is being instituted in connection with the 4th Regiment, and when this is in order there may be less ground for complaints such, as that made by you.
