The "Willowbank Gold Dredging Company (Limited) reports a return lor trie W Lours ended on fcJaturaay 01 Zsooz. The manager of the A'ew Sylvia mine, Thames, reports that the reef in the No. 3 level is 4it 'wide, and the ore- is of tair value. At tlie Mo. 4 level Uie winze is down 48ft. The reef is wider than the winze, and carries good values. At 40ft ddwn a crosscut was put into the footwall, and showed As.lt of quariz wider than the w.nzt. At the No. 5 level the drive north on the Sylvia reef has been advanced a total of 540 ft. • The quartz is wider tnan the drive, and a little water is coming through. The new* Golden Run .Driugmg Company's dredge operating at Island Block continues 10 win very satisfactory returns. The gold obtained during the iour months ended on Saturday amounted to 1183oz 14dwt. The dredge is now crossing a line of bores put down some 12 months ago, and it is satisfactory to note that the values indicated by each series of bores are being fully borne out by actual reSults obtained from the working of the ground.
