Mails close at the Chief 'Post Office, Dunedin, as under: — For Wellington an.d Main Trunk offices, daily at 6.30 a.m. Late fees, C.P.0., 7.40 a.m., mail van 8 a.m. Also, supplementary maik at 10.30 a.m. Late fees, C.P.0., 10.45 aon. Guard's van, 11.15 a.m. For Palmerston, Oamaru, Waimate, Tetnuka, Timaru Ashburton, Christchurch, overland daily, at 6.30 a.m. (late letters C.P.O. 7.40 a.m., mail van 8 a.m.), and at 10.30 a.m. (late letters C.P.O. 10.45 a.m., guard's van 11.15 a.m.). For Greymouth Hokitika, and Reefton, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, at 10.30 a.m. For Invercargill and Intermediate Offices. daily at 7.30 a.m. fiate letters C.P.0., 8 a.m., on mail van at 8.25 a.m.), and at 3.45 p.m. (late letters C.P.O. 4 p.m., guard's van 4.25 p.m.). For Cromwell, Clyde, Ranfurly, Nasebv, via Ranfurly and Intermediate Offices, daily at 6.30 a.m. (late letters on guard's van 7.45 a.m.). TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29. For Lyttelton and Christchurch, per Mokoia, at noon. Late-fee 1 p.m. on board. Money orders tor places within the dominion "close one hour before advertised time of closing letter mails. Money orders for places beyond the dominion for despatch by the North or South Express close at 4 p.m. the previous day. The late fee is Id in addition to ordinary postage. The late-fee box on Second itforth Express is available for letters only. Registered mails close ono hour before advertised time of closing ordinary mails. Book packets, commercial papers, and newspapers close half an hour before the advertised time of letter mails. The rate of postage on'correepondence addressed to Samoan territory, recently in the possession of Germany, is now the same as for inland postal matter, except in the case of letters, the rate for which in the meantime will be one penny per ounce.
