GENERAL ELECTION
Mr Murdoch M'Lean, the Mayor of l Mount Albeit,, has decided to contest tn» Grey Lynn seat at the coming election in the interests of the Reform Party. .- There is a movement afoot in the Wait*mata electorate to induce Sir E. W. Aliison to come forward as a candidate in the approaching elections.. '.««,£. It is reported that Mr J. A. Murdoch, Mayor of Kumara, will stand for the Westland seat in, the interests of tie Refbrm > Party at the approaching general election. Mr Murdoch is well known on the Week Coast. In addition to being Mayor of Kumars, he is a member of the Grejmouth Harbour Board, a member of the K.umai» ' Hospital Trustees, a member of the Wertland County Council, and a steward of the Kumara Racing Club. Mr Murdoch haa '• been requisitioned*- by very many in the 1 electorate to be a candidate, ana has received numerous promisee of support.
