N.S. WALES ARBITRATION COURT

A CAUTION TO STRIKERS

Preea Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.

SYDNEY, August , 1.

Giving his decision on the matter of an appeal by the amalgamated engineers against the decision of the gasworkers' and engineers' special demarcation board, Mr Justice Heyden, said: " I have come to the conclusion that tho existing daily contempt and outraging of the law exposes the Arbitration Court to most serious criticism. In future strikers must not be surprised if a fine to the full limit of £50 per man is imposed. As a policy of leniency has entirely failed, it is the disagreeable but clear duty of the court to abandon that policy."
