DRAINAGE IN IRELAND. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, April 23. The Nationalists, supported by the Irish Unionists, demanded a complete scheme of arterial drainage, costing 10 millions. Mr Dirrell admitted that legislation was necessary, but it could not be proposed in 1903. On a- rather sudden division the motion was negatived by 97 to 80.
