A very enjoyable picnic was held at I'orlobello, and wa.° a groat success. The annual break-tin was, as previously, a ftre.it, success. Two sold medals were donated by Mr J. Miller to the dux boy and girl of the school, and the committee tenders il« sincere (hanks for the splendid gifts. The Cadet Corps still maintains its standard of efficiency. During the year the company \\\io inspected by Lieutenantcolottfll Loveday, who expressed himself as being well pleased with the work of the beys. For steadiness and disciolme the company wa.s awmled the maximum marks. By the acquisition of a company target, increased facilities were offered for shooting, and interest was further stimulated by the presentation by Captain Jl'Laan of a "hand some gold medal. This was won by Cadet Sampson. The i-harks of the company are due to Cnotain M'Lc-an for his generosity and kindly interest. The receipls (including the balance from the previous year) were £18<t 4s Bd. and the expenditure £166 7s lid, leaving a credit balance of £18 16s 9d.
