AUCKLAND, November 4. There is some excitement amongst the Taur.-uiga, Natives owing to the report that there has been a resurrection of a Maori girl effected by Ehau, tho Maori- king's tolnmga. Ehau came to Tauranga to prevent a Maori named Terere causing the deaths of other Natives by makutu. On. Monday a girl named .Marata died at Mataupihi, aiid her body was taken to Kang.wae. On Wednesday Ehau went to see Terere, who, it is stated, acknowledged having caused the death of Marata. Ehau warned Terere and his wife that if they caused any more deaths they would die themselves.. Te Ehau then went to R-mgaVvae, where a tangi was proceeding over the body. Elmu told the mourners to cer.se their crving as Marata would bo restored to them. Ee then placed his hands on the dead girl's forehead, and pcriorming the karakia, told her to rise, vhich she did to Hie utter astonishment of all present. The Maoris were frantic with j iny, showering presents on Ehau. The girl j Marata is well to-day and walking about. She saj'S she has been to te rangi.
