It is satisfactory to find that good prices are being obtained for really good samples of butter sent from Auckland to the London market. As soon aa a brand comeß to be known there, and is found to be reliable, the London merchants are not slow in giving a good price for it. Some of the butter Bent from heieto London by Messrs Ambury and English (saya the Auckland Herald) has realiaed a very high price' their last account sales showing that 140s per cwt.' was obtained. They have also found that the package In which the butter is packsil is alao paid attention to by London purchasers, and it !f evident that Pond's boxes are the favourite packages* ir the London market, for Meßsrs Ambury and English have found that butter put up in these boxes brings 7s per cwt. more than, the same butter put up in other packages. Messrs E. O, Reynolds and Co., auctioneers, report having sold by p.'vate treaty allotments 26,44 and 45, Bishopscourt, to Mr John Wright; part of section 17, block V.I, Stafford street, Dunedin, to another buyer, at satisfactory prices for cash; also Ilotmeutslss and 156. Ravensbourne extension to Mr J. Muirhead, for the sum of £50 cash.
