MASTER AND APPRENTICE.

Wanganui, March 21. At the Police Court to-day John Wakefield was charged by James Lomax with neglecting to instruct an apprentice, Henry Perry Lomax, in his business. The action was brought under the Masters and Apprentices Act, section 15. It appeared that disputes hail arisen between tho master and apprentice, who dad W.v.n dismi<«:d but taken on again. Lomax had gone to the rscos agimsfc the wishes of his master, who was under the impression that he couW discharge au apprentice for disobedience to orders. There had been general dissatisfaction, am! tho master had tried to get the induulurua caueelk-d. because the boy had not nuido au atiiviipt to study iliH business. They therefore ordered him to take Lomax to fulfil his tena, and fined him Is, and costs 7s.
