THE MILBOURNE ESTATE, HAWKE'S BAY, NEW ZEALAND, will bo offered for SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION, in Napier, Hawke's Bay, on a day to be fixed early in MAY next. The Milbourne Estate, the property of the late Messrs J. M. and R. Stokes, consists of 29,787 Acres Freehold Lands, and is situated in the_ provincial district of Hawke's Bay, and within about 50 miles of Napier, with which town it is connected by railway,—the Waipawa and Kaikora Railway Stations being distant respectively about eight and five miles from the several ends of the Estate. The Estate is bounded on the one side by the Waipawa river, and is intersected by the Manga-nuku, Manga-tuki, and other streams. The Land consists of partly plains and partly of rolling downs and low hills, a considerable portion of which are of limestone formation. The whole Estate is excellent Sheep Country, well sub-divided into convenient paddocks by wire fences, and is easily worked. The Buildings consist of comfortable Family Residence, with excellent Garden, Overseer's House, Woolshed, Men's Huts, Stables, and other outbuildings. There are at present about 40,000 Sheep depasturing on the property, of which about 3000 are Merino, the remainder being Lincoln and Crossbred. The flock is well and favourably known, and is of a very superior quality The clip of wool in 1888 consisted of 805 bales.
