PORT CHALMERS.
(From our own Correspondent ) ARRIVALS. December 17—Dunedin, barque, Walker, from Melbourne. Horses and general carg-o. December 18 — Omeo, s.s., M-'Lauchlan, commander, from Melbourne 7th instant, with 22 cabin, and 47 steerage passengers ; 105 horses and a full general cargo. DEPARTURES. December 17—Hydra, ship, Brown, master. 142 passengers. Towed out. The Omeo made a good run to Ruapuka, from thence to this port encountered head winds, with thick fogs. A most magnificent testimonial, in the shape of a very heavy and richly-chased gold chronometer watch and albert cbam, was presented to Captain M'Laiichlau by the saloon passengers of the Omeo_, on her last voyage from this port to Melbourne, for Iris kind, courteous, and gentlemanly attention to all during the passage.
The s.s. Lord Worsley, Capt. Kennedy; arrived at Port Chalmers at 5 p.m. yesterday. She left Auckland Dec. 9th, 4 p.m.; arrived at New Plymouth on the 10th, at 10 a.m.; left same day, at 7 p.m., and ar2'ived at Nelson on the 11th, at 3 p m. ; sailed for Wolling'ton on the 13th, at 5 p.m., and arrived on the 14th ; sailed on IGth, and arrived at Port Cooper on. the IGth, at 4 p.m.; left on the 17th, at 4.30 p. m , and arrived here as above. She has 18 snloon, and 47 steerage passengers; also 12 bullocks, and 3 horses.
The following vessels have cleared from Melbourne for Qtnv;o viz :—llaimnli Moore, 1130 tons; Helen M'G?nv, G"5 tons; Heather Bell, 188 tons ; Union. IG6 tons, Matilda, C9O tons, on December 6th, and the foJ]owing' ships are laid on for this port: —
Oriental, 1200 tons, to pail 11th Dec.; Jno. Bryant, 1000 ions; Genii, 1500 tons, on the 12th i'nst. • Themis, 1500 tons, on 14th. inst.; Robert Passenger, Sea Breeze, and Mountain Wave.
