QEALED TENDERS will be received at 0 this office, on or befoi*e the 2nd day of January, ' 1862, from parties willing- to CARRY MAILS as > undermentioned between Dunedin and the Gold Fields » of Waitahuna, Tuapeka, and Weatherstone's Gully, by way of Lower Taieri Ferry and Tokomairiro, from •20th JANUARY to 30th JUNE, 1862, or for such further period as the Postmaster may see lit to con- ! tinue the Contract, —either party having" power to determine the same at, or at any time after, the • expiry of the period now stated, Six Weeks' Notice of the same, in writing, having1 been previously given— : Ist. A DAILY Mail from Dunedin and also from the Gold Fields, containing LETTERS ONLY. 2nd. The same service, containing1 LETTERS and NEWSPAPERS. 3rd. A Mail, THREE TIMES EACH WEEK, from Dunedin, and also from the Gold Fields, containing LETTERS ONLY. 4th. The same service, containing LETTERS AND NEWSPAPERS. » ALSO, On or before the 10th day of JANUARY, 18G2 ; , from parties willing to carry MAILS between Dunedin and the School-houses in North and West , Taieri, Weekly, from loth FEBRUARY to 30th JUNE, 1862, or for any longer period, as above stated. Time of Arrival at and Departure from each Station, to be fixed from time to time by the Postmaster. The Tenders to be made at per annum, and Security will be required for the due fulfilment of the Contracts. The Government will not be bound to accept the Lowest nor any of the Tenders. ARCH.
