POLITICIANS who so vigorously assail the advent of the tin hare as "only encouraging gambling which is far" too rampant already," may be right, but New Zealanders are fundamentally and inherently speculative. , . '.■ This streak cannot' be submerged by the rion-appearance of the tin hare. The definitely speculative 1 , pioneering and streak of daring that brought. our forefathers to this country cannot bo brushed away by either legislation or the want of it. Anyway, what greater gamble or game of chance is there -than the dangerous risk of politics?
