RIGHTO!
As a rule friend husband presents a very sour countenance when asked to contribute a big chunk from his wages towards the maintenance of his wife. Smiling and ready acquiescence however was given at the Auckland Magistrate's Court by a Maori named Ncha Tokl to Mr. F. K. Hunt's suggestion that, until he was ln receipt of a bigger pay envelope, he should pay his European wife, Edith Tokl, £2 a, week. Edith complained that her dusky husband was a bit too fond of a taste and j when he had a bit In him he would come home and fight tho family.' He had been forgiven many times, but lt was all of no use: overy Friday night he would spend his money In drink. Mr. Hunt: I think I would too if I was picking up the road of tho city all the week. Look here, Tokl, why don't you glvo her some money and don't drink so much? Will you give her £2 a week? "Righto!" said Tokl and he sauntered cheerily out of tho Court.
