CHOW CRAWLERS.

TO THE EDITOB. Sir.T-The following paragraph, copied .from the "Wairarapa Daily limes" of 23rd inst., goes to show that there are some very low-down specimens of humanity living m the vicinity, of Saltwater Creek, South Island,, and I fully expected to see some remark upon it m your last issue, knowing how you love the Chow.. Anyhow, such a disgusting piece of crawling requires publicity. We strive to keep the alien out, even with an insufficient poll-tax, but some of him nevertheless appears to worm the way into our affections, an-d when-he wishes to return to his own country we send, him forth la-cien with tokens of* our sorrow at his departure. At least that is how it strikes one after reading; the following paragraph from a Tiroaru : "A number of friends and customers of Charlie Ah Gin, the popular market eardener , met at Saltwater Creek Hotel on Saturday evening to bid him farewell before he left the district on a trip to China. Several handsome gifts were presented to him and Charlie Ah Gin replied thanking his friends for their kindness. Air wished him bon voyage." I hope "Truth" is read at Saltwater Creek.— l. am, &c. .A CHOW 'HATER. Masterton, Nov. 25, '0&.
