CLUB ACTIVITIES
Y.W.C.A. Mothers' Club.—Members whose birthdays occurred in January and February were presented with bouquets at the first meeting for this year of the Afothers' Club. The opening social of the year was held on Saturday night when enjoyable items were given. British Israel Women's League.—At the annual meeting an account of the British Mission of the Rev. Robertson Orr, of Vancouver, in the South Island, was given by Airs. AlcGill Nutt. Airs. Cranston was elected president, the Misses Somcrville and Dcwar, vicepresidents, Mrs. Swan secretary, and Airs. Wood treasurer. Penwomen's Club.—A challenge to women to take part j n establishing the new order which must come after the war was given by Mr. B. Beckerleg in an address yesterday afternoon. The speaker said he considered the average woman potentially equal, if not superior, to the average man, and her responsibilities were great. The president, Airs. H. Griffiths, presided.
