Mrs. Keith Angus, of Howick, left by air this week to visit her mother, Mrs. F. Carthew, New Plymouth.

Mrs. W. W. Dove, Victoria Avenue, Remuera, left yesterday to spend a week's holiday at Okoroire Springs.

Mrs. A. Dukes, of Bracken Avenue, Epsom, has been elected correspondent for the Auckland Croquet Association.

Mrs. C. T. Mabbatt has arrived from England and is staying with her mother, Mrs. Scott Shaw, of Remuera Road.

Mrs. G. R. Livett, of Kuala Lumpur. Malay States, who has been spending several weeks at Hotel Stonehurst, has left for Rotorua.

Mrs. Arthur Tyndall, of Wellington, has arrived in Auckland to join her husband, Mr. Justice Tyndall, and has taken a flat at Brooklyn.

Mrs. M. M. Ifwersen, of Bridgewater Road, Parnell, returned on Wednesday from Rotorua, where she stayed with her daughter, Mrs. J. S. Wells.

Mrs. J. R. Simpson and Miss Marjorio Simpson, of Entrican Avenue, Remuera, will leave to-day to spend a few days at Kerikeri, Bay of Islands.

Miss W. M. Bartlett, who has been matron of the Tauranga Hospital for a number of years, retired this week. She was succeeded by Miss Jenkins, formerly sub-matron at the Waikato Hospital.

Mrs. Ewan Harkness and her sister, Miss Patricia Richards, who arrived in Wellington recently from England, will reach Auckland this morning to 6tay with their mother, Mrs. Victor Richards, Princes Street.

Mrs. D. A. Vauchan-Philpott, who has been living in England, arrived at Auckland yesterday from Wellington with her two daughters. She is staying with her mother, Mrs. Neville Newcomb, Victoria Avenue, Remuera.
