CHURCH ORGANIST
PRESENTATION SOCIAL The trustees and congregation of Mount Eden Methodist Church gave a social on Tuesday night in honour of Miss E. J. Reid, who recently resigned from her position as organist of the church after a long period of service. Mr. J. Tyler, secretary of the Church Trust, presided in the absence from Auckland of the minister in charge, the Rev. J. F. Jack, from whom a letter was received making appreciative reference to Miss Reid's work. Speeches were made bv the chairman, and the Rev. F. Copeland, Mrs. T. Caley, Mr. W. Britlgman and Mr. P. Dellow. On behalf of the trustees and congregation, Mr. Tyler presented Miss Reid with a cheque, while Miss Shirley Woodham handed her a bouquet. Members of the choir contributed a programme of musical and elocutionary items during the evening.
