The Crown Prosecutor, Mr. W. H. Cunningham, said that on the aftornoon of July 24 Mrs. Mavis MePh'ee was driving her car from Mastorton toward Grcytown. It . was alleged that another car, driven by accused; subsequently came from behind the lorry and collided with the side of Mrs. McPhee's car. .It crumpled the back and right hand front mudguard and knocked olf a door handle. A front mudguard of the ear driven by accused was also damaged. Mr. Cunningham added that accused reported the accident to the police next morning and in a statement said ho had just passed a lorry when lie felt a bump. Accused asked a passenger if the other car had stopped' and the passenger answered in the negative. thought everything was all right and went on to Masterton," accused said in his statement.
