WEEK-END ATTRACTIONS
EPSOM TROTTING MEETING YACHT SQUADRON REGATTA A varied list of sporting attractions is to be held this week-end and one with popular appeal will be the meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club at Epsom, where Van Derby will make an attempt on the grass track mile record. Yachting enthusiasts will have their interest centred on the annual regatta of the Royal Xew Zealand Yacht Squadron at Kawau to-day, when races will be held for first, second and third division yachts. The regatta promoted by residents of Xorthcoto and Birkenhead each year will also be held to-day.
The competitions under the control of the Auckland Cricket Association will bo continued to-day, the main matches at Eden Park being Grafton v. Eden and Parnell v. Y.M.C.A. City and suburban matches will be held at the Domain. The various tennis and bowling clubs will continue their matches to-day, while Auckland rowing clubs will resume trial races.
