AN AUTO UNION FOUNDER SOUNDING IMPORT PROSPECTS An interesting member of the motor world is Baron K. von Oertzen, ot Dresden, who arrived in Auckland this week to s'pend two months touring NewZealand. He is' a foundation member of the famous German firm which has been manufacturing Auto Union cars since and as general export manager of the; company, he is out here with a view to establishing a market in New Zealand. Auto Union cars are best known in the racing field. They have been responsible for winning numerous im-

portant trophies since their introduction to the motor racing tracks of the world, and they have a fine reputation for reliability. It is not the racing vehicle that Union von Oertzen hopes to sell the New Zealander, but some of the other products of the company. The D.K.W. car has won popularity with a section of the Australian motoring public, and there is a possibility that it may also attract the attention of New Zealand drivers if it could be marketed here. Prospects of importing the cars to the Dominion will be discussed by Baron von Oertzen with agents when lie visits Wellington. The cars are all sold through agencies in Australia and a similar procedure would be followed in New Zealand if the cars were brought out.
