WATER LILIES
The water-lilies Shine in the pool, The glimmering lilies, White and cool. There is no sight In the summer heat, Full of such sweet, And pure delight.
The clear, green Water, The glittering Weed, Where goldfishes flicker, And flash and feed; And blossoms that bless And satisfy, Both mind and eye. —Original by Aola Bicheno (12).
