'JMXY jewelled monkeys dangling from dainty shell-like ears are now the smartest typo of jewellery in Paris, writes our fashion correspondent. Monkeys to match dangle from slender platinum chains round swan-like necks and are also being made into attractive bracelets.
Apparently Fashion's urge is mainly in the .direction of ornaments representing creatures that climb, whether beast or insect, for in America the novel jewellery trend expresses itself in the form of spiders—jewelled spiders 011 heads and hats, as clips 011 dresses or trailing over evening gowns —spiders anywhere and everywhere. What next? If spiders become popular with women, why not mice ?
