CRICKET SEASON
SENIOR COMPETITION LEADING TEAMS OPPOSED / GRAFTON TO MEET EDEN The second round of the Auckland Cricket Association's senior competition will be continued to-day. when the 6econd series will be commenced. There will be considerable interest in the game on No. 2 wicket, where the two leading teams. Grafton and Eden/ are opposed. Champion last season, Eden at present has a lead of two points on Grafton, and will strive hard to maintain its lead.
Parnell and Y.M.C.A. are matched on No. 1 wicket, where an even struggle should ensue. University's prospects are favoured in its match with Middleinore on No. 3 wicket, while the improving North Shore side should have a slicht advantage in the game at JDevonport against Ponsonby-Balmoral. Lower grade competitions will bo continued.
