,THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE LOCAL ISSUES STRONGER Several New Zealand industrials again improved on tho Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday, when turnover was tvcll maintained. A feature of the giltedged group was a sale of the shortterm 4 per cent bonds at par. Banks were firmer, and levels for New Zenlpnds rose. Insurances were weaker, and both Nationals and Now Zealands lost ground. Dominion Breweries also changed hands cheaper. Of the local industrials, Reid Rubber unci Consolidated Bricks were both lifted. Woolworths (N.Z.) recovered, and. the Sydney scrip continued to advance on a strong market. New Zealand Prugs, however, were weaker. Australian issues wore firmly steady.
