LONDON, Feb. 9
The Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph says tho Army, Navy and Air Committees of the Chamber of Deputies, in secret session, for the first time heard M. Daladier speak on the armament position as Co-ordination Minister.
M. Daladier stated that France was lagging a year.-behind Italy and Germany in'war materia] and aeroplanes, which could not be altered until the 40-hour week was further relaxed. M. Bertram!, Minister of the Navy, intimated that the Government would build two additional 35,000-ton warships. Unless building was speeded up, the Italian Fleet would be superior to that of France in 1942.
