BRITISH VIEW UNCHANGED DUTCH GOVERNMENT'S MOVE British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 0 The Foreign Secretary, Mr. Eden, was asked in the House of Commons whether he was aware of the recent proposal made by the Dutch Government to three Scandinavian Govern-
ments that tlicy should join Britain and Franco in recognising the Italian conquest in Fthiopa, and whether the Dutch Government acted with the approval and authority of Britain. Mr. Eden replied that before taking any final step in the matter the Netherlands Government intended to consult the British and French Governments. The initiative in the matter of recognition lay exclusively with the Netherlands.
The reply to the second part of the question was in the negative. The Netherlands Government, however, had informed Britain of the initiative it had taken ip the matter.
