MODERNISING ARMY
CONTRACT TO CZECH FIRM FUTURE OF LITTLE ENTENTE BUCHAREST, June 30 Rumania is reported to have given Czech armament firms, headed by Skoda, a contract for mechanising the whole Rumanian Army. Germany has been trying to secure contracts for modernising both Rumania's and Yugoslavia's defences. She has already secured such orders from Bulgaria, and is canvassing Hungary also. Yugoslavia has not yet decided.
Rumania's decision is regarded as having a most important bearing on the future policy of the Little Entente.
