CROQUET CLUB PARTY
A pleasant card afternoon was held by the Papatoetoe Croquet Club at the pavilion on Saturday. A large attendance was welcomed by the hostess, Mrs. Parker Hill, who was assisted the following committee:—Mesdames Ward, Wyman, Whitham. It. McCullough and the Misses Hamilton.
The winners at bridge were: —Highest number, Mrs. Jackson; consolation, Mrs. Burns; hidden number, Mrs. Weston.
The players included:—Mrs. Shepherd, Mrs. Foss. Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Nicholson, Mrs. P. Taylor, Mrs. Hickson. Mrs. Kllison, Mrs. McMurray, Mrs. Hodge, Mrs. W. Walker, Mrs. S. MeCulloiigh, Mrs. Hollowav, Mrs. Buchanan, Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Barclay. Mrs. Chapman, Mrs. Cullen, Mrs. Henderson and the Misses B. lims, Gano, Wyllie and Jtuncimau.
