MORE VISITORS EXPECTED [BT TKLKGRAPH —FRESS ASSOCIATION'] WAIROA, Tuesday With the coming of the railway to Wairoa, Lake Waikaremoana will bo brought within .11 or 13 hours of Wellington, and as it will not be long before the scenic highway between tho lake and Rotorua is finished, it is anticipated that there will be more visitors to this resort. To cope with tho anticipated growth in the popularity of the resort it is proposed to increaso the accommodation at tho hostel. To find the best means of carrying out tho work, Mr. L. J. Schinitt, manager of tho Tourist Department, made an inspection with tho Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, during tho week-end. Mr. Schmitt said that the proposed extensions included quarters for the staff, so that its present quarters could be altered to provide more accommodation for visitors.
