FORMER TRACK CHAMPION
National 220 yds track champion in IfMG and runner-up in this event to W. J. Fitzsimmons at Auckland 'his year, G. Quinn, of Hawke's Ray, has given up playing senior football, but turns out every Saturday with the Gisborne Harrier Club. Quinn is one of the fastest sprinters the Dominion has produced, but has always been at a disadvantage in that he has suffered from lack of competition, for he lives well out of Gisborne. Harrier running will give him condition, and if he can obtain more serious racing in the early stages of next track season ho will have bright prospects of again winning Dominion championship honours, besides being well in the running for selection in the New Zealand British Empire Games team.
