HUNT AT TE PUNA
ROTORUA-BAY OF PLENTY TAURANGA WARD MEET [nV TELEGRAPH —OWN' CORRESPONDENT] TAURANGA, Tuesday A good day's sport was enjoyed by members of the Tauranga ward of the Botorua-Bay of Plenty Hunt Club at le Puna. The hounds threw off on ]\lr. H.. J. Clarke's property and a strong hare was soon put up, but after a. shoit run was lost in thick scrub across the main Waihi road. The hunt continued over Mr. Clarke's land and a second hare was raised. A good run resulted, but no kill was made. Continuing on over Mr. Clarke s land without further result, the held then crossed to Mr. Prior's land and then on to Mr. C. Taylor's farm where followers and guests were served with a dainty afternoon tea by Mrs. iaylor and helpers. After a brief spell the hounds again threw off on Mr. Taylor's land,-and although by this time the ground was getting very slippery with the steady rain, lumping was of a. high standard. Tust as the signal for home was given another hare was put up, but as the hour was late the hounds were whipped off after following the scent over the farms of Messrs.
