AWARD CLAIMS ADJOURNED Little further progress was made yesterday whefi representatives of the Auckland Provincial District Local Authorities Oflicers' Union met cm-
plovers for the second day in conciliation council, before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. 11. E. Price, to diseus.s terms for an award to cover borough council, county council and other local body employees. Several minor clauses were .settled, but the questions of wages, annual holidays and siek leave remain to be discussed further on July 27. The parties are hopeful °f a settlement being reached bv that date.
