ST. ANDREW'S, OTAHUHU INCREASED ATTENDANCES The annual meeting of the members of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Otahuhu, was held on Wednesday night. There was a large attendance. Increased attendances at worship and communion were mentioned in the session's report, which expressed satisfaction with the greater number of young folk at the morning services during the past year. Satisfactory progress in all phases of church activity was also reported and thanks were expressed to the leaders of the Sunday Schdol, the " Bible classes and other Church organisations. Special mention was made of the impending departure of the minister, the Rev. A. M. Elliffe, on his call to Devonport, and reference was made to his services during his ministry at Otahuhu. The session and congregation expressed the hope that Mr. Elliffe would be richly blessed in the labours of bis new charge. The financial report, which was submitted by the treasurer, Mr. A. Sinclair, showed a satisfactory position. The reports were unanimously adopted. Officers were elected as follows: Management committee, Mesdames Kirk and West, Miss Spicer, and Messrs. T. Cameron, J. Crawford, R. Russell, R. Airey, W. Gilmour, E. Ellis, A. A. Tetley, and A. McDonald; secretary, Mr. R. Allan; treasurer, Mr. A. Sinclair.
CHARGE OF ST. GEORGE'S NEW MINISTER AT TAKAPUNA The charge of St. George's Presbyterian Church, Takapuna, which had been vacant sinde the resignation of the Rev. N. O. White at the end of April, was again filled on Thursday night by the induction of the Rev. D. M. Cattail acli, formerly of Drury. The sermon was preached by the Rev. D. R. McDonald. The Rev. It. Alley addressed the minister, and the Rev.' G. Budd, who has been interim moderator of the vacancy, narrated the steps which had led to the appointment of Mr. Cattanach. The moderator of the Auckland Presbytery, the Rev. W. P. Rankin, presided and formally inducted the new minister.
After the induction ceremony a welcome social to Mr. and Mrs. Cattanach was held in the church hall.
