Nelison, a shareholder*' director of the Mortgage Corporation, was a passenger from the South by the limited express yesterday morning. Mr. C. G. White, of Wellington, 'a director of the Union Steam Ship Company, is on a business visit to Auckland. He is at the Station Hotel. Pilot-Officer Hugh Dawson, an Aucklander who joined the Royal Air Force last year, has been transferred to India and will leave England in September. Major R. W. Fenton, of Wellington, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant-colonel and given mand of all field batteries in the Central Command. The Rev. A. C. Nelson, recently appointed minister of the Beresford Street Congregational Church, will arrive from Australia by the Aorangi on Monday. Hp will be inducted next Thursday. Mr. W. F. Robinson, lecturer in surveying and building construction at the Canterbury , College Engineering School, is shortly to retire. Mr. Robinson has been a member of the college staff since 1912. Dr. Eugene Lynch, radium officer to the Wellington Hospital, who for the past year has been doing postgraduate work in radiology in "London and on the Continent, will return to New Zealand next mohth.
