TO RENOVATE LEATHER
The leather covering of a writing desk or table sometimes becomes dull and worn in the centre, although the sides are still in good condition. The worn portion, if faded, should be touched up with water colour or with a suitable dye, and when the surface lias dried thoroughly a thin coating of white of egg should be lightly and evenly brushed over it to give a glazed finish. Leather-covered chairs and leatherbound books may also be similarly renovated.
