TEMPERANCE MOVEMENT
A report submitted at a meeting of the Auckland council of the New Zealand Alliance this week stated that there was an increasing interest in the temperance movement. Bands of Hope were increasing in number and many pledges had been taken. The annual meeting of the alliance would be held in Wellington on July 4, and arrangements .were made for Auckland to be represented at the meeting.
