REQUEST FOR COUNSEL
ONE CASE STOOD OVER The course of asking the Court to assign him a counsel was taken by Francis John Beckham, who, with William Iveough, was charged in tho Supremo Court yesterday with robbery with violence from Ttichard Thomas Dias, in Victoria Street. Tho case was tho first ono called when tho criminal sessions opened yestorday. On Peckham' making tho request Mr. Justice Smith said ho would assign him a counsel, and in tho meantimo the case was stood over nntil to-day.
