Ohinemuri.—North section. No. 4 level: The drive south has been extended 48ft.. making the total distance 318 ft. It appear? from the underlie exposed in a winze from Xo. 3 level that the course of the reef here is farther westward. A croscut will be projected in that direction immediately, No. 3 level: The -inking of No. 2 winza lias commenced from a point 723 ft, north of the mail crosscut, or. approximately. 2{sft. north of No. 1 winze. Twelve feet has been sunk in good ore, which improves as dentil is attained, A connection with No. I level will be made here. In the Silverstream section a drive has been Btarted on the Silver Queen Reef and advanced 16ft. A fault in this direction caused a disturbance of the reef system, which now appears to be consolidating. It will be remembered thai operations here have previously been confined to the north section. Corbett's level: A block of ore was opened for a short distance at this point some years ago. and preparations are now being made to make it available for stoping, The.ore body is about sft. wide. South section: The drive south from F crosscut is 18ft. southward of No. 1 rise. The ore here shows a distinct improvement in value. Mill construction: At the mill, substantial progress is being made. Preparations have c.ofnnleted for the installation of the Slimes filter plant and tube-mills.
