ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
NEW SECRETARY APPOINTED. 'llio resignation of Mr. Frank Adeano as secretary of the Auckland Football Association was accepted with regret at a meeting of the Management Committee on Tuesday evening. Mr. Adeane, who succeeded Mr. L. C. H. Dawson as secretary about 12 months ago, said the step had been forced upon him owing to pressure of business. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Adeane for his services to the code.
Mr. S. H. Massam. solicitor. a well-known soccer player and enthusiast, has agreed to carry on as honorary secretary for the ensuing season, and (he resolution appointing him to the position was carried with acclamation. Mr. Massum has been secretary to the Metropolitan Football Club for many years.
